库柏后期的表演都很像块死木，频频被抢戏，这次又被范.赫夫林抢尽风头。不过该角色倒很适合他。剧本结构很像《最后的巡罗兵》，充满寓言性，值得注意的是它的人物与动机非常醒目，男性在勾心斗角中内部瓦解，唯一的女性是智囊团也在平衡关系。看的是4:3全屏，结局由全屏突然扩展为宽屏很有寓意。
