剧情介绍
Fonda and Woodward are in fine form in this sly western comedy. Fonda plays an ex-gambler who arrives with his wife (Woodward) in the town of Laredo just as the big card tournament begins. He enters the game, and gets the hand of a lifetime. Only before he can finish the hand, he suffers a heart attack. When his wife takes his place, the now-penniless woman has some fancy talking to do to stay in the game. And ya gotta love that surprise ending.

整部电影都在讲一场牌局，简直比《辛辛那提小子》还过分，但这片的魅力确实也只能出现在仅此一场的牌局。详细点的推荐语实在难免破坏观片时的乐趣，只能说亨利方达和乔安娜伍德沃德牛逼。编剧居然有份参与纽曼的《江湖浪子》，这次合作乔安娜说得上是缘分了。
